The Context Manager is responsible for adapting the system’s behaviour according to the current conditions without explicit user intervention. It provides developers with context templates, context models, a context reasoning engine, and algorithms for sensor and data fusion. The Context Manager in the IMPReSS SDP thereby enables application developers to easily develop intelligent applications that are able to adapt their behaviour based on the context. In the classroom scenario, this is demonstrated by the automatic context aware control of lights and air conditioners thereby achieving the most optimal lightening and cooling in accordance with the number of people in the classroom.
